The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse (Perioperative Scrub Scout) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Practice to full scope of practice as per defined standards for Registered nurse set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Must ensure that both clinical practice and professional standards are identified and maintain in the delivery of patient care.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions and the delegation and supervision of care to Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
- Advanced skills and knowledge in assigned surgical specialty.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time
- Base salary ranging from $111 198 - $119 072 per annum and $56.08 - $60.05 per hour

The Gold Coast University Hospital Operating Suite currently runs 21 operating theatres and provides for a broad range of specialties including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Urology, Plastics, Ear Nose and Throat, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, General Surgery, Dental, Maxillofacial and Paediatric Surgery and a Hybrid operating theatre. These specialty services provide a wide range of surgery servicing the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales (NSW).
