The Senior Property Officer, Redevelopment and Renewal play a key role in supporting the Principal Property Officer to optimise the potential of the existing property portfolio. This involves identifying redevelopment opportunities and planning precinct renewal projects. In this role, you will collaborate with Councils and Housing Service Centres to shape and implement portfolio strategies and objectives. Your responsibilities will include contributing to decisions on divestment, reinvestment and redevelopment, as well as working closely with Housing Service Centres to coordinate and facilitate tenant relocations.
What you will be doing:
• Identifying and assessing opportunities for redevelopment, property acquisition and private sector initiatives to drive the uplift and alignment of the social housingportfolio, ensuring optimised social housing outcomes, including the assessment of the planning scheme proposal impacts and the engagement and management of service providers.
• Support the development and delivery of portfolio strategies, programs and projects for the effective management of a major property portfolio that maximises the useful life of a property asset and that identifies realignment opportunities that optimises portfolio performance.
• Conduct property market research and analysis to inform decision making and the provision of advice to stakeholders and management in relation to the effective management of the portfolio and sales program.
• Use property expertise, social housing business knowledge and the support of corporate systems to inform/advise senior management regarding asset strategies, property sales, vacant dwellings, redevelopment sites and upgrades.
• Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports, information papers and submissions and other relevant documentation as required.
• Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.

• Evidence specialist knowledge, skills and experience in valuation practice and strategic asset management.
Mandatory Requirement:
• A current driver's licence is required.
• Although not mandatory, a property related degree in either Property Economics, Valuation, Engineering, Project Management or Quantity Surveying is highly desirable.
