QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
Your role within QBuild will support the department to deliver housing assistance, homelessness support services, local government support and advice, state and regional planning, public works building and design and industry regulatory reform. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide high level administrative support to QBuild.
Duties and skills involved:
- Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to QBuild customers.
- Effectively monitoring and managing internal and external correspondence, incoming and outgoing telephone calls and ensuring responses are provided within required time frames.
- Willingness to work within a fast-paced environment with KPI's and mechanisms to measure and monitor performance.
- Ability to connect with industry, local suppliers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services.
- Demonstrate professionalism and be a positive contributor to a great team and culture while being prepared to perform recurring work.
- Be dedicated to customer satisfaction, and within boundaries, develop an outcome which achieves both customer and business objectives.
- Ensuring high standards and accuracy when compiling documents and reports or updating records and information systems (i.e. in Ellipse and Microsoft Office).
- Demonstrating initiative and be a team player by appropriately handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
- Developing and maintaining procedures, manuals and registers while being a contributor to improving existing procedures.
- Effectively undertaking general administration functions as required.
