About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide leadership and strategic direction for Metro North Health's (MNH) allied health workforce to ensure there is a capable and contemporary allied health workforce to meet current and future needs of MNH's catchment population.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide executive leadership and excellence in the field of allied health, actively promote the organisational culture and values and build a workforce committed to continuous improvement.
- Strategically develop a vision, lead change, implement, monitor and evaluate agreed service objectives and/or outcomes, for the allied health workforce, in the context of multidisciplinary teams, in an environment of rapid growth and complex change, considering MNH, State and National priorities.
- Manage the human, financial and physical resources allocated and account for their cost-effective use. Ensure management practices comply with government policies, regulations and standards including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as equal opportunity principles and workplace health and safety and actively promote the learning and development of staff and the organisation.
- Ensure optimal effective and efficient allied health services for care of patients and other clients.
- Establish and effectively maintain collaborative business relationships and partnerships, with a range of internal and external stakeholders including State and Commonwealth government agencies, community groups, service providers, education and research bodies, staff, clinicians, clients/consumers to ensure that MNH activities are integrated, productive and opportunities to leverage and share are fully exploited.
