About the role
Redcliffe Hospital is seeking a permanent part-time security supervisor to join its dynamic, fast-paced team where no two shifts are the same. Your input will truly matter as you will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team focused on staff safety and positive patient outcomes. Ideally you will already have healthcare security experience or have performed a like role in a similarly regulated values-based organisation. About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead a team of Security Officers and Ambassadors ensuring that comprehensive security service delivery is provided to Redcliffe Hospital staff, patients, visitors and its associated land and assets.
- Role model and employ evidence-based de-escalation techniques, including active listening, non-confrontational body language and verbal communication strategies.
- Ensure all shift activities, incidents, breaches, observations, comments and supporting digital media are properly recorded in the security and ambassador reporting systems.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and participate in regular training and professional development related to conflict management and de-escalation.
