Your new role as Senior Statistician / Evaluator will be in the Statistical Collection, Evaluation and Analysis (SCEA) group within QGSO.
The services provided by SCEA include survey and program evaluation design, data collection, data processing, data analysis, reporting of results and statistical advice.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
• Work as part of a team that provides expert guidance and advice to Treasury and other agencies on:
o program evaluation frameworks, plans, and reports
o performance measurement frameworks
o survey designs, questionnaires and reports
• Create and review content that contributes to the Queensland Government Program Evaluation Guidelines and supporting information sheets
• Liaise with agencies and / or their stakeholders to plan or conduct program evaluations or performance measurement
• Assist survey teams that collect, analyse and report primary statistical data
• Ensure outputs satisfy office standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE STRONG SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN:
• Program evaluation or in similar fields such as social or market research
• The collection and / or analysis of primary and secondary data
• Client-focused services bound by agreed timelines, budgets and expectations for high quality outputs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with project teams comprising statisticians, analysts, project managers and report writers
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing work priorities with tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
