An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and energetic person to join our team. Coolum State High School is recruiting to a temporary full-time Executive Services Officer (AO4) for a period of 12 months, unless otherwise determined. This position requires a strong ability to multitask, prioritise, manage multiple demands, and meet deadlines. The successful applicant will be professional, focused, driven and have well-developed skills to liaise, consult, and negotiate with a broad range of clients, stakeholders, and community representatives. Personal attributes of pro-activeness, adaptability & flexibility, and professionalism is highly regarded.

About Us:

Coolum State High School has an excellent reputation for outstanding achievements in academic, cultural, leadership, community and sporting programs.

The school is located in the Sunshine Coast Region midway between the Maroochy and Noosa Rivers.  It is situated 3 kilometres north of the Coolum Beach township in an idyllic setting, bordered on three sides by national park and is in close proximity to the beach.  The school enrollment catchment includes not only the Coolum Beach community but south to Marcoola, north to Marcus Beach and the communities west to Yandina Creek and Verrierdale.

About the Role:

As the Executive Services Officer you will contribute to the effective and efficient management and administration by providing a high level of confidential administrative and executive support to the Principal.  The Executive Services Officer reports to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate. This role plays an important part in contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of enrolment support services to the school.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Principal, including diary management, correspondence, reports, meetings, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Coordinate research, projects, committees, and strategic initiatives, monitoring progress and reporting on sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Manage meetings and events (agendas, papers, minutes, travel, venues) and act as the first point of contact for visitors and delegations.
  • Oversee administrative, financial, and operational processes, including procurement, budgeting, HR support, and use of departmental systems and software.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain executive support systems and procedures in line with departmental policies, standards, and governance requirements.
