About us:

The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to the residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.

About the role:

Effectively contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Group within CQMHAODS and to lead a strong support team to deliver contemporary mental health inpatient services. The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides advanced clinical leadership skills to support CQMHAODS in achieving high quality patient outcomes.

This position evaluates nursing clinical performance standards, conducts innovation through the application of best practice, and promotes the transition of new knowledge to address gaps between current nursing practice and best practice outcomes.

About you:

  • The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual nursing practicing certificate Division one is essential.
  • While not mandatory, recent, extensive experience working in an Adult Mental Health specialty would be highly regarded and/or a relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable for this position.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $169,138 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
