About your opportunity:
The role is responsible for leading and managing Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) commitment towards environmental sustainability by reducing its environmental footprint, promoting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the HHS is resilient to climate change.
The role will manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Townsville HHS Sustainability Strategy, including support programs and projects designed to assist the HHS and its stakeholders deliver on the strategy.
The role will additionally manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Townsville HHS climate-related financial (emissions) reporting requirements.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $136,035 to $145,990 p.a. (AO7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements:
- Qualification: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification in environmental sustainability, sustainable building services and design, or other relevant disciplines from a registered tertiary institution or equivalent would be well regarded.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance.
