About the role

As the Executive Lead, Strategic Programs you will provide organisation-wide executive leadership to drive the delivery of high-impact strategic programs that strengthen performance and improve outcomes for staff, patients and the community across Metro South Health. You will provide strategic leadership and oversight of large-scale, complex programs aligned to Metro South Health priorities and broader state and national health strategies. The role leads the end-to-end delivery of strategic programs, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes, budgets and governance frameworks. Partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Team and cross-functional leaders, you will provide high-level advice, insights and recommendations. This role builds and sustains strong internal and external partnerships, including with other Hospital and Health Services and private sector stakeholders, to optimise program outcomes.

About You

  • You are a strategic, values-driven executive leader with a strong track record of delivering complex initiatives in a large, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership experience, with the ability to set strategic direction and successfully lead complex, organisation-wide programs
  • Highly developed strategic thinking and program management capability, including experience delivering measurable outcomes through robust governance and performance reporting
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and navigate competing priorities at senior levels
  • A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and consumer-centred outcomes, underpinned by strong knowledge of healthcare systems and governance
