Working closely with the Deputy Crown Solicitor and Assistant Crown Solicitors, the successful appointee will manage and lead the implementation of required systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and the effective utilisation of resources. This role includes providing leadership and supervision to team members, while assisting with broader administrative and managerial tasks as directed.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide high level practical and strategic advice and guidance to colleagues and clients on a broad range of contemporary human resource management through the interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments and/or policies etc.
  • Assist the Deputy Crown Solicitor and Assistant Crown Solicitors with the administrative management and oversight of branch teams.
  • Implement and oversee file allocation systems and supervision processes to ensure equitable workloads and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on branch billing practices, ensuring compliance with quality and case management standards, client Service Level Agreements, and agreed standing instructions.
  • Analyse trends and issues related to new legal matters, file allocations, and workloads, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide advice and guidance on areas of practice management, including file and document management, to all team members.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of the paralegal function, Litigation Coordinator and Executive Legal Support Officers, ensuring the delivery of quality services and effective resource utilisation.
