Working within a multidisciplinary Child & Youth Mental Health team, you'll deliver advanced assessment, intervention and coordinated care for children and young people experiencing serious and complex mental illness. You'll play an active role in intake assessment and crisis response, supporting timely, safe and recovery-oriented pathways of care that are responsive to individual, family and community needs.

Beyond direct clinical work, you'll contribute to strengthening service delivery in a rural context — sharing your expertise through consultation, education, supervision and participation in service improvement initiatives. About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services delivers community-based mental health care across the lifespan. Our Child & Youth teams provide specialist assessment, treatment and recovery support across rural and regional communities, working closely with families, schools and local services.

About the role:

  • Deliver high-level assessment, intervention and care planning for complex cases.
  • Support intake assessment, crisis response and coordinated care pathways.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary child & youth mental health team.
  • Provide clinical advice, consultation and support to colleagues.
  • Contribute to education, service development and quality improvement.

About you:

  • You are qualified and registered to practice as one of the following:
    • Occupational Therapy
    • Psychology
    • Social Work
    • Registered Nurse
  • You are an experienced mental health clinician passionate about child & youth care
  • You bring strong clinical judgement and confidence working autonomously
  • You value collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement
  • You are registered with the relevant professional body for your discipline
  • You are ready to make a meaningful impact in a rural community

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $65,684 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
