We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant – Perioperative to provide expert clinical leadership across our perioperative services at Redland Hospital. This is a temporary part-time opportunity to backfill leave over the next 12 months and offers the chance to influence practice, support teams and drive safe, high-quality patient care within the supportive Bayside Health Service.

Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Perioperative, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership across perioperative services, supporting safe, high-quality, person-centred care in collaboration with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced clinical leadership and expert consultancy in perioperative nursing practice
- Leading and influencing evidence-based practice, clinical standards and quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting, mentoring and developing nursing staff through education and role modelling
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve service priorities and performance outcomes
- Contributing to service improvement, innovation, research and workforce development activities
About you:
You are an experienced perioperative nurse leader with strong clinical judgement, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to improving patient and service outcomes.
You will demonstrate:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in perioperative nursing practice
- Strong leadership, communication and consultation skills
- Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Operating Theatre and/or Endoscopy experience and/or relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable)
