Rockhampton Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Queensland and the main referral hub for the region. We will deliver expert care close to home by investing in a range of specialist services at Rockhampton Hospital for all Central Queenslanders.

About the role:

Responsible for providing, developing and maintaining an efficient, effective, ethical, and confidential administrative and secretarial support service to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and Director of Corporate and Support Services and other department staff. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of multidisciplinary teams.

  • Provide accurate and timely information and assistance to clients and staff within the Hospital and Health Service and external agencies.
  • Provide an effective reception service.

About you:

  • High standard of clerical, administrative and secretarial support.
  • Proven ability to act as Minute Secretary, collate agendas, organise meetings and compile correspondence arising from the minutes.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in reception and administrative duties, keyboard and contemporary word processing and spread sheet skills appropriate to the position.
  • Knowledge of, or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of myHR, S4HANA, HBCIS, and other hospital specific software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and act as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team to provide an effective customer focused service.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and the ability to perform duties on a day-to-day basis in the absence of decision makers.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $99,508 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.38 - $46.10 p.h
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
