As the Project Coordinator (Crime Prevention), you will be part of an energetic team developing and implementing innovative crime prevention programs that create positive outcomes for Queensland communities.
In this role you will lead, plan, coordinate, design, deliver and evaluate a suite of crime prevention programs. The suitable candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, along with experience managing teams, leading projects, evaluation, analytical design and strategic direction.

Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide expertise in developing evidence-based prevention initiatives associated with harm minimisation and victim-centric approaches to community safety issues with a particular focus on perceptions of safety.
- Lead the implementation and evaluation of prevention strategies and tactics which support the objectives of Divisions, Districts, Regions and Commands.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams involved in organisational and or operational improvement initiatives related to prevention.
- Consult, liaise and network with appropriate Service, government and non-government organisations to identify community safety and prevention needs, and deliver a collaborative response.
- Provide high-level strategic advice in the analysis, design, development and evaluation of prevention responses together with appropriate recommendation.

Qualification
- Highly Desirable: qualifications and/or experience in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Crime Prevention, Community Development, Project Management, Research, Public Relations and/or other relevant fields

- The occupant of this position may be expected to travel throughout the State as required.
