You will contribute by being involved in a variety of activities that:
• relate to the licensing of individuals and organisations under a range of Acts including the Liquor Act 1992 and the Gaming Machine Act 1991.
• ensure the liquor and gaming industries in Queensland continue to operate in a responsible manner and persons and organisations engaged in these industries are of suitable character and repute.
To successfully undertake this role, you will need to have a strong customer focus, strong ability to work under pressure and be highly motivated and focused on delivering outcomes.

To successfully undertake this role, you will need to have a strong customer focus, strong ability to work under pressure and be highly motivated and focused on delivering outcomes.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high-risk applications and notifications within agreed timeframes, including the assessment of site plans, requests for waivers and other submission material in accordance with the legislation administered by OLGR.
- Preparing or assisting in the preparation of briefs, statements, reports, memoranda and other correspondence in relation to licensing applications and the licensing activities undertaken by the branch.
- Providing advice to internal and external clients in relation to licensing processes and requirements and meeting work outcomes.
- Participating in team meetings within the branch, where you will identify and recommend procedural and legislative changes.
- Attending meetings and conferences with current or potential applicants and/or objectors and report outcomes and recommendations.
PLEASE NOTE - This recruitment process may be used to fill similar positions in the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation at the same level. For example, an AO3 Assistant Compliance Officer.
