Senior Speech Pathologist | Permanent Full-Time Role | Cape York Allied Health Outreach (Based in Cairns)

Ready for a meaningful role that starts with a yarn? Emily Witten (0474 700 417) is ready to hear your story and answer any questions you have about joining this incredible outreach team!

Tell me more... This isn't your average clinic job! As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you'll fly out of Cairns via light aircraft most weeks to provide vital care to the remote communities of Aurukun, Kowanyama, Pormpuraaw, Coen, and Lockhart River. You'll deliver generalist clinical care across the lifespan, working in a multidisciplinary team to create culturally responsive, holistic care plans. Whether it's face-to-face in the community or via virtual care, you'll be making a massive impact where it's needed most.

Why You'll Love the Outreach Life 🏝️🚁

Based in Cairns but working across the Cape, you get the best of both worlds: a tropical city base and a front-row seat to the most stunning landscapes in Australia.

  • Impact: Provide life-changing care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Adventure: Your "commute" involves charter flights over coral reefs and rainforests!
  • Growth: Benefit from world-class professional development and a supportive skill-sharing framework.
  • Diversity: Work alongside dietitians, physios, social workers, and podiatrists in a true multidisciplinary model.
