Your new role:
As a Senior Exercise Physiologist, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services within the Gastroenterology Integrated Care Clinic while playing a key role in service development, quality improvement and clinical education. You'll work with a diverse patient cohort in a collaborative, interprofessional team, applying advanced clinical judgement and contributing to innovation in patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive Exercise Physiology assessments, interventions and evaluations within an interprofessional team
- Acting as a clinical reference point for Exercise Physiology within the Gastroenterology Integrated Care Clinic
- Applying independent clinical judgement in complex decision-making with minimal supervision
- Contributing to the development, implementation and review of evidence-based clinical practices, policies and protocols
About you:
You are an experienced Exercise Physiologist who thrives in complex clinical environments and enjoys combining hands-on patient care with leadership, collaboration and service improvement.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated high-level clinical expertise in Exercise Physiology, ideally within complex or gastroenterology-related care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage a complex clinical workload in a fast-paced environment
- Experience providing supervision, training and support to junior clinicians and students

About us:
Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Neuropsychologists and Health Psychologists are employed within the Psychology Department, Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation, and within outreach and specialist services including the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service, Transitional Rehabilitation Service, Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit and Persistent Pain Service. They are also integrated into the QEII Hospital and service units and teams within the Metro South Addictions & Mental Health Service and Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Service.
Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation Psychology Department staff service the Department of Neurosciences, PAH associated Spinal Injury and Brain Injury Services, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Bariatric Surgery, Home Haemodialysis Training, Kidney Services, the Acute Cognitive Unit, Youth & Adult Satellite Cancer Services, Sexual Health & Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Integrated Care Clinics, the Specialized Spinal Physiotherapy Screening Clinic & Multi-Disciplinary Service and Wisteria Subacute Mental Health Unit.
