About the work unit / facility
The Townsville Prisoner Health Service is a primary health care service that operates across multiple facilities in Stuart, Townsville. The Townsville Corrections Centre covers a large geographical area, has both men and women high and low custody facilities. The service is a nurse led primary health care model, supplemented with part time GP's, allied health and other specialist services.

- Base salary range: $4262.20 to $4564.00 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6, Band1))
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator is to support staff to deliver timely holistic client care according to scope of practice, within a primary health care model in a Prisoner health setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, managing delivery of an opioid sustainable treatment plan (OST) program, health education, chronic disease case management and responding to emergencies.
This role offers a great work life balance opportunity where full-time hours are rostered using a variety of shift lengths, offering the potential for a condensed working fortnight.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
- Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
