  • Base salary range: $42.98 - $55.13 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity

Townsville Renal Services has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse. The service operates six days a week and provides high quality care to patients in Townsville and surrounding areas.

The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care, utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients, clients and nursing staff within the Renal Unit to ensure best practice and quality patient care. Renal dialysis experience is highly desirable.

The Townsville University Hospital Renal Unit provides acute and chronic renal replacement therapy across a range of settings, including in centre, satellite and home based haemodialysis, as well as peritoneal dialysis. Staff also deliver regular education and outreach services to community groups, other staff and family members involved in caring for people with renal failure within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
  • Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
