About your opportunity:

This role ensures the effective scheduling of corrective and preventative maintenance works to ensure continuity of essential services critical to the delivery of effective patient care at all Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service Facilities through coordinating the scheduling of maintenance work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Manager Operations, Trade Coordinators, and Contractors to ensure the successful allocation and completion of preventative, corrective and unscheduled maintenance activities. 

In this position you will….. 

  • Facilitate all Building and Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Department activities related to service delivery.
  • Schedule the labour, non-labour, contractors and material resources required for the successful execution of each maintenance work.
  • Participates in regular review meetings to ensure there is common understanding and acceptance for planned maintenance schedules, ensuring that the maintenance schedules are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
