Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed facility dedicated to providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient services to a growing, diverse population. Our department supports a wide range of specialties including obstetrics, high dependency care, and general surgery. About the role:
- Provide high-quality clinical anaesthetic services, including general, regional, and obstetric anaesthesia.
- Lead the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic, and High Dependency Unit with a focus on clinical governance.
- Oversee and mentor unit staff, including GP Anaesthetists and junior medical officers.
- Participate in the after-hours and weekend on-call roster to support the Gladstone community.
- Collaborate with Retrieval Services Queensland to organize and support safe patient transfers.
- Contribute to quality assurance programs and regular audits of clinical practice.
About you:
- You hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- You are registered, or eligible for registration, as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with AHPRA.
- You possess Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
- You demonstrate extensive clinical experience across the full range of Anaesthetic and Critical Care services.
- You have a proven ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- You are a clear and concise communicator, capable of managing complex interpersonal dynamics.
- You are committed to lifelong learning and the education of the next generation of medical professionals.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $557,878 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $216,643 - $274,678 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
