Role details
The Pharmacy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Pharmacist (JCU Clinical Educator) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
- This position works across the James Cook University (JCU) and Mackay Base Hospital (MBH) campuses supporting evidence based contemporary clinical pharmacy education to under-graduate and practicing clinicians in the hospital and in post-graduate coursework. The successful candidate will be based at James Cook University during JCU term times and at Mackay Base Hospital at other times, working closely with the staff and students across the campuses.
- The primary function of this role is to support review, development, delivery and assessment of clinical pharmacy practice and medication safety education training.
About the Team
Our Pharmacy Service is based at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides patient centred pharmacy services, seven days a week. Our pharmacy provides medication on hospital prescriptions for use while patients are in hospital.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
