This role requires both morning and afternoon fitness sessions.

About the Role

As the Gym Instructor at QAHS, you will play a vital role in leading the fitness centre and programs, inspiring students to achieve their fitness goals while promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality personal training and group fitness sessions tailored to students' needs and abilities.
  • Supervising and ensuring safe use of gym equipment and facilities, including maintenance and monitoring.
  • Conducting pre-exercise screenings and evaluations for students.
  • Supporting fitness initiatives, such as preparing students for activities like The Kokoda Challenge.
  • Promoting wellbeing and fitness across the QAHS community through engaging programs and activities.

This role would suit a passionate fitness professional who thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment, inspiring students to embrace lifelong health and wellbeing.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

  • Experience in personal training and group fitness instruction.
  • Knowledge of gym equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively plan fitness programs.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to promoting health and wellbeing.
