The Role
As a member of the Basins' Project Management Office, you will be part of a small, dynamic, and results‑oriented team. This team delivers substantial funds for onground works to support sustainable and efficient use of water resources. In collaboration with the team, you will help ensure grant program objectives are met by applying a high standard of contract administration and project management discipline. Your strong personal leadership and sharing of responsibility in a versatile and output‑focused team is expected.

Key Accountabilities:
• Actively participate in the full lifecycle of programs and projects, including promoting funding rounds, assessing applications, negotiating and administering contracts, monitoring progress and negotiating variations, facilitating and assessing payment claims, acquitting and reporting.
• Negotiate and liaise effectively with other functional areas and external stakeholders to gain advice and cooperation needed to successfully administer contracts.
• Act as a representative of the department and team in all external dealings, contribute to team decision‑making, consider the views of others and be prepared to compromise to meet the vision and outcome of the department.
• Lead and assist across functional work areas and work to solutions in an enthusiastic, positive, flexible and constructive manner.
• Actively engage with and promote programs and projects to the rural community and targeted industry members and demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service.
• Encourage innovation, collaboration, shared responsibility and a high‑performance culture.
