Manager, Governance and Risk

eHealth Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead and manage the provision of the portfolio, program and project governance; risk management, and issue and change control frameworks and process to enable successful delivery of large scale, complex ICT programs and projects aligned with Queensland Government legislation, Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) and Queensland Health policy requirements. This position plays a key role in the overall success of eHealth Queensland’s delivery portfolio.

Your Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Governance and Risk with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills to:
- Implement the Delivery Services Branch portfolio, program and project governance framework and process through the establishment of program and project boards and secretariat services including the onboarding and training of its members according to defined roles and responsibilities.
- Implement the Delivery Services Branch risk, issue and change control management framework and process guide.
- Establish and maintain the delivery portfolio risk register; and facilitating the identification and ongoing management of risks by facilitating risk workshops and risk-review workshops across the delivery portfolio.
- Provision high-quality, trusted and accurate advice, analysis and recommendations to Delivery Services Branch Executives and project executives on governance, risks and issues, trends and lessons learned.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with customers and other work teams responsible for ensuring compliance with governance, risk, issue and change control management practices.
- Prepare presentations, briefs, reports and other relevant correspondence for executive management and project stakeholders.
- Build a high performing team culture where individuals are valued, supported and provided with clear direction.
Is this opportunity for you?
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Experience with program and project board establishment and training including the provision of board advisory and secretariat services.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in managing the portfolio, program and project risk, issue and change control management process, particularly in the identification, assessment, management, reporting and review of risks/issues and changes, preferably in a large, complex, health service delivery organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic risk management advice, supported by high‑quality research and analysis, and to prepare and present complex reports that incorporate organisational context and provide well‑reasoned recommendations to all levels of management.
