About the opportunity  

To provide a timely, cost effective and efficient travel and accommodation bookings service for patients and staff of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), in accordance with Queensland Health and THHS policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines (including Whole of Government arrangements).

PLEASE NOTE - There are two vacancies - 1 x permanent full-time role and 1 x temporary full-time, up to 12 months (with a possibility of an additional 12 months extension).

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $3038.50 - $3379.10 p.f. (AO3)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Locality allowance
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Ideally, applicants will have prior experience in a comparable role or possess demonstrated administrative experience within a fast‑paced team environment.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible service
  • Proven ability to work effectively as an individual with limited supervision and to meet deadlines and established work
  • Deliver high level customer service within the Travel Office by providing a consistently friendly, efficient service to all internal and external
  • High level communication skills including customer liaison, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse client travel requirements and to arrange travel in accordance with Queensland Health policies and procedures, Knowledge of or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge about the travel industry and performance of booking/purchasing travel and related
