About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated expert level of contemporary knowledge, expertise, and skills in clinical practice relating to Eating Disorders.
- Demonstrate expert level clinical understanding and application of mental health and professional leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel and clinical expertise as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal Queensland Health services including external government, non-government, and private health sector service providers to achieve the optimum outcomes for the client.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical leadership in quality improvement, service evaluation and research initiatives.
- Understanding of contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
- Current Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 or working towards obtaining.
- Post graduate qualification in mental health nursing would be desirable.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
