About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Work cooperatively and effectively in the Speech Pathology team under the direction of more senior staff, to deliver Speech Pathology clinical support services to assist in the provision of efficient and effective services to patients and families of Children's Health Queensland.
- Maintenance of relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics in accordance with organisational guidelines.
- Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions for patients of the Speech Pathology Department, as delegated.
- Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients
- Under direction of the speech pathologists, develop therapy activities and collate home programs.
- Under direction of the speech pathologists, assist in development and programming of augmentative communication devices.
