Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Logan Mental Health Inpatient Units, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing care to consumers with complex mental health needs, while supporting quality, safety and recovery-focused practice across the unit by:
- Delivering and coordinating high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care in complex clinical situations
- Practising autonomously and providing expert clinical decision-making and problem-solving
- Leading and supporting nursing staff through supervision, delegation, mentoring and role modelling
- Contributing to unit operations including shift coordination, portfolio responsibilities and quality improvement activities
- Supporting education, research and evidence-based practice within the multidisciplinary team
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated mental health nurse who brings strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and a commitment to recovery-oriented care, with:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in mental health nursing and inpatient care
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to professional development, education and continuous quality improvement
- Desirable: Credentialing as a Mental Health Nurse and/or progress toward Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status
