The Manager, Enterprise Information Services, within the Governance, Cyber and Policy Unit, leads the Information and Records Management team—driving compliance, building capability, supporting the department’s eDRMS (Content Manager), and advising stakeholders to ensure the Department can effectively manage and maximise the value of its information assets.

Responsibilities include
- Managing the Information and Records Management team to deliver ongoing BAU activities, and building department-wide capability in information management, records management, and providing Copyright advice.
- Developing and implementing the delivery of fit for purpose Information Management and Record Management training and awareness to build the department's capability in contemporary Information Management.
- Supporting the administration of the department's eDRMS (Content Manager), and leading the identification, prioritisation, and implementation of technology and process improvements to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.
- Providing technical and subject matter expertise on records and information management to DoE stakeholders and governance bodies—including the State Schools Board—to ensure compliance, support policy development, identify gaps, and improve the department's information management maturity.
- Overseeing and providing expert input and guidance into records management related projects and initiatives.
- Serving as the main point of contact with Queensland State Archives to ensure compliance with records management regulations, coordinate audits and reporting, and maintain effective communication and guidance.
- Preparing briefing notes, ministerial and departmental correspondence relating to information and records management for the Minister and senior departmental officers.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Enterprise Information Services.
About You
- Leadership experience, particularly of a multi-faceted team.
- Possess high level communication skills covering a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Have a commitment to Team Development.
- Previous experience in Records Management is highly desirable.
Desirable Requirements
- Extensive relevant experience or specialist expertise in information and records management, preferably within a large, complex organisation.
- Extensive knowledge of information and records management legislation, obligations, and their practical application in the government environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and development of high quality frameworks, policies, processes which underpin record and information management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to traverse technical and functional domains, to deliver outcomes while understanding the diverse needs of subject matter experts in records and information management.
- Strong people and project management and organisational skills to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to work as part of a wide team and contribute to a positive work environment.
