About the Team
The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Children's Health Queensland, is a Specialist Rehabilitation Medicine Service which operates under a statewide model and includes:
- Neurorehabilitation Programs
- Limb Difference Program
- Cerebral Palsy Health (CP Health)
- Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre
About the Role
The position of Social Worker - Rehabilitation will deliver quality paediatric Social Work services across the continuum of care to patients and families of the Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service as part of a team of Social Workers or within an inter-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary team, to provide tertiary level health services to children and adolescents.
How you will contribute to CHQ
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
Clinical Practice
- Deliver quality Social Work clinical services across a variety of caseloads in an acute hospital, rehabilitation, developmental or community setting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making, under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
- Participate, as required, in state-wide outreach services.
