About your opportunity:
Townsville Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) is an integrated consultation and liaison community based service providing assessment and treatment for older adults in the community.
The service aims to support GPs and other health and aged care providers by assessing and recommending treatment for people with mental health problems. OPMHS sees patients with a first presentation of a mental illness generally over 65 years of age and over 55 for indigenous people however younger people who are affected by age-related neurodegenerative problems such as Alzheimer's disease may be included. OPMHS also specialises in diagnosis, treatment and supports the care of people with dementia.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)
- Salary range: $4262.20 to $4564.00 p.f. (NG6-1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements:
- Mandatory qualification (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Nursing) and registration (if applicable).
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance.
