Infrastructure Officer

You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of significant, high-profile building and maintenance projects that support the safety, functionality, and long-term sustainability of court and justice facilities across Queensland. You will work closely with key partners including the Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW) and QBuild, to turn plans into outcomes.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop, plan, monitor and deliver annual planned maintenance programs.
- Lead and co-ordinate delivery of assigned construction and maintenance projects and programs for the department across its statewide built infrastructure portfolio, ensuring delivery of these services to agreed standards.
- Ensure assigned projects and programs of work are managed in accordance with the department's strategy, policies, systems, and procedures, and according to the government's Building Policy Framework and other relevant whole-of-government policy frameworks.
- Optimise alliances and partnerships with key internal/ external stakeholders and service providers (e.g. DHPW/QBuild), and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative strategies to meet the department's facilities services requirements.
- Identify emerging issues, risks, and priorities that may impact project delivery and proactively respond with strategies to address these impacts.
- Monitor, analyse, forecast, and report on project performance to ensure project delivery targets are achieved as planned.
- Provide advice to the Principal Infrastructure Program Coordinator and Branch management on assigned infrastructure project delivery status, expenditure forecasts, risks, and emerging issues.
- Perform other duties as required to support branch and department.
