Gracemere State School is seeking a highly capable, collaborative and student-focused educator to join our team as Year 3/4 Inclusion Teacher (Team Leader @ 0.30 FTE). This role is offered as a full-time temporary position from 19 April 2026 to 11 December 2026. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced classroom practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education, strong curriculum practice, and supporting colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes for students. In this role, you will lead and support a team of three Year 3/4 classes (including one PTT teacher) and work closely with teachers and two teacher aides to strengthen student engagement, achievement and wellbeing. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum, while modelling inclusive practices and supporting staff to meet the needs of diverse learners.

✨ Lead and support a Year 3/4 teaching team to deliver consistent, high-quality curriculum implementation
✨ Work collaboratively with teachers and teacher aides to support student engagement and achievement
✨ Provide guidance in planning, differentiation, moderation and curriculum delivery
✨ Support inclusive practices for students with learning difficulties and disabilities
✨ Model and implement strategies to support student regulation and positive behaviour
✨ Use student data to inform teaching, intervention and targeted support
✨ Foster a collaborative team culture built on professionalism, accountability and shared responsibility
✔️ Essential Skills and Experience
📚 Strong classroom teaching experience, preferably in the middle primary years
📘 Deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, with the ability to support planning and consistent curriculum implementation
🧠 Experience supporting students with learning difficulties and students with disabilities
🧩 Proven ability to implement inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
⚖️ Capability in supporting students with complex or high-level behaviours, including strategies that promote regulation and engagement
👥 Experience in middle leadership, team leadership, or demonstrated capacity to lead colleagues
🎯 Knowledge and experience implementing Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and High Performance Teaching (HPT)
💬 Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
⭐ Desirable Skills and Experience
➕ Experience coordinating or supporting inclusive education adjustments for students with disability
➕ Experience working closely with teacher aides to implement targeted interventions
➕ Experience using student data to inform teaching, differentiation and intervention
