About the role

Step into a role where your curiosity, organisation and eye for detail genuinely shape the quality of certification services. As the Administration Officer (Certification), you'll be the driving force behind investigations and audits – working with the Certification Manager to review workflow processes and administration to create cases, preparing correspondence, gathering intelligence, analysing data and ensuring records are accurately maintained. You'll be a trusted point of contact for customers and stakeholders seeking clarity on certification matters, while also helping refine processes so the team operates with greater efficiency and impact. It's a position for someone who enjoys variety, values accuracy and wants to contribute to a team that safeguards professional standards.

This position is temporary part-time (0.5 FTE – 18.12 hours per week), based in Brisbane CBD. Flexible work arrangements can be considered upon application, including working remotely at a regional QBCC office subject to availability.  While the role allows for flexibility in working from home, regular in-person attendance at the office is a mandatory requirement.

  1. Tell us about a time you had to liaise with multiple parties with competing expectations (internal or external) to complete a task. How did you keep communication clear, timely, and respectful?
  2. Describe a process improvement you introduced in an administrative setting (e.g. templates, work instructions) that measurably reduced errors or processing times. Discuss how you evaluated both the need for the change and its success.
  3. Share an example where you had to manage sensitive information. How did you maintain confidentiality, demonstrate composure and reliability and ensure actions aligned with legislation and organisational ethics?
