An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse (CN) to lead and deliver person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making and assisting with Access and Flow. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in collaboration, and in the absence, of the Nurse Manager and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
This position has a unique role in accepting responsibility for designated aspects of patient care that require the application of advanced communication, clinical and problem-solving skills.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced clinical skill set and problem-solving skills to support clinical units with increased acuity and demand. Promote the use of multidisciplinary management plans and service delivery to facilitate patient safety and improved patient flow.
- Early identification and recognition of patients for admission and collaborate in their care using an appropriate model of care and referral process.
- Met Call response, as directed by the Nurse Manager.
- Provide clinical leadership to nursing, medical and allied health staff to enhance patient journeys through the Facility.
Remuneration comprising salary rates $56.08 - $60.05 p.h., (part time, hours negotiable), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time positions available). Applications will remain current for 12 months / the duration of the vacancy.
