Reporting to the Director, you will lead the licensing team, coordinate policy functions, and contribute authoritative advice to state-wide compliance planning. You will play a pivotal role in driving regulatory best practice, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement within a complex health regulatory environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage the operational delivery of the licensing team, ensuring legislative obligations and regulatory standards are met.
- Provide expert advice on complex regulatory, compliance and policy matters, including preparation of high-level briefings and submissions.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including national bodies and other jurisdictions.
- Drive business improvement and transformational change initiatives to strengthen regulatory effectiveness and service quality.
About you
What we are looking for:
- An experienced regulatory leader with strong people management skills and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic, high-accountability environment.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, tight timeframes and multiple deliverables while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of the Queensland and Australian health system, particularly in compliance and regulation (or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge).
