The DTET regional network provides localised service delivery across the departmental priority areas of employment and training. The effective departmental service delivery is achieved through the regulation of the state's apprenticeship and traineeship system; strategic training and skills investment strategies; informing consumers about the suite of departmental programs including Skilling Queenslanders for Work; supporting a quality vocational education and training (VET) sector; and providing whole of government leadership on employment and training issues.
As a Senior Field Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with training and employment standards, supporting employers, apprentices, and trainees, and contributing to the development of a skilled and capable workforce in North Queensland. What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can:
- Deliver high-quality, well-researched advice, interpretation and feedback to senior managers, colleagues, clients and stakeholders on a wide range of issues impacting Queensland's vocational education and training system (VET). This includes areas such as apprenticeships, traineeships, stakeholder capacity building, and workforce development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, directives and policies by investigating issues and complaints, gathering data, and preparing accurate reports and other documentation.
