About the role
In this hands‑on role, you will support the day‑to‑day operations of the hospital by performing periodic and routine cleaning of internal and external communal areas, assisting with horticulture tasks, managing facility equipment and furniture, and supporting hospital events and operational needs.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Have a good working knowledge of safety procedures and standards to undertake general and periodic cleaning of external and internal communal areas within the Redcliffe Hospital facility, and exercise judgement in deciding how tasks are performed and completed whilst being responsible for the quality of completed.
- Have a good working knowledge of safe practices relating to chemical use for cleaning tasks and storage of such chemicals
- Undertake other operational functions for Facility Services such as assisting with decanting of areas, office relocations, building works and disaster management.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision and participate as a positive team member while displaying strong work ethics, problem solving and decision-making skills.
