Your new role:
As an Allied Health Assistant within the Rehab@Home service, you will work under the supervision and direction of allied health professionals to support rehabilitation, restorative and hospital-avoidance care for clients in the community. The role involves delivering delegated therapy activities, supporting daily living tasks and assisting with equipment, documentation and service delivery to help clients regain independence and functional capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering delegated therapy and rehabilitation activities under supervision
- Assisting with personal care, manual handling and transport of clients
- Supporting individual and group treatment programs as directed
- Preparing, transporting and maintaining therapy equipment and resources
- Providing basic education to clients on defined topics
About you:
You are a reliable and motivated Allied Health Assistant who enjoys hands-on work and supporting people to achieve their rehabilitation goals. You understand your scope of practice, communicate effectively and work well both independently and as part of a team.
You will bring:
- Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or in a similar support role
- Ability to deliver delegated therapy tasks within a community setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload
- Understanding of scope of practice and task delegation frameworks
