About the Role

As the Principal Engagement Advisor, you will be a key contributor to the Education & Engagement team, leading the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative programs and partnerships across Queensland. Your work will directly support the QBCC's Strategic and Operational Plans by driving a proactive, data‑informed and customer‑focused engagement function.

You will help shape how the QBCC connects with the industry by:

  • Delivering consistent, meaningful and accessible education tailored to the needs of licensees, consumers and stakeholders across the State.
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships that foster collaboration and long‑term partnerships.
  • Designing and executing targeted campaigns that respond to emerging industry issues and support compliance, safety and best practice.

Position Summary

The Principal Engagement Advisor plays a key leadership role within the Education and Engagement team, driving the development, delivery and evaluation of State‑wide education programs and stakeholder engagement initiatives across Queensland's building and construction industry. The position leads proactive, data‑informed engagement activities that support the QBCC's strategic direction and strengthen relationships with licensees, consumers and industry partners.

Working within a modern, agile and customer‑focused function, the Principal Engagement Advisor designs and implements targeted campaigns, builds collaborative partnerships, and ensures consistent, high‑quality education is delivered across the State. The role contributes to a safer, more compliant and better‑informed industry by anticipating emerging issues, shaping engagement strategies, and representing the QBCC with professionalism and credibility.
