Your new Role:
This role delivers expert engineering leadership across maintenance, capital works and asset lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and legislation.You will drive asset governance, risk management, performance optimisation and continuous improvement across hospital infrastructure, working closely with key stakeholders and supporting disaster resilience.
This is a strategic, operationally critical position overseeing the effective management and future direction of a major health asset portfolio.
About You:
- Strategic and solutions-focused engineering professional with experience in complex infrastructure environments
- Strong expertise in asset lifecycle management, risk governance and regulatory compliance
- Experience working within highly regulated settings, ideally healthcare or critical facilities
- Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams
- Commercially astute with sound judgement and pragmatic decision-making skills
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations

About Metro South Health Assets and Infrastructure
The Assets and Infrastructure Business Unit (A&I) enables Metro South Health to continue to expand its scope and capacity of clinical services through the effective leadership of master-planned facility renewal and redevelopment. A&I undertake infrastructure planning through the development of business cases to deliver on the priorities identified within the Metro South Health Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). We further deliver the identified Priority Capital Works and Capital Infrastructure Projects within defined guidelines.
