About the Role

As a Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students to achieve educational success. This position involves assisting with classroom activities, preparing learning materials, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teachers with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Assisting with the supervision of students during lessons, excursions, and other school activities.
  • Providing clerical assistance, including typing, photocopying, and maintaining student records.
  • Supporting students with special needs, including assistance with mobility, meals, and personal care, as required.
  • Contributing to the welfare, health, and safety of students, including administering first aid (training provided).

This role would suit a compassionate and organised individual who is passionate about supporting students and contributing to a positive school environment.

About You

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Empathy and respect for students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Reliability, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with students and their families.
  • Basic clerical and organisational skills, including proficiency in using computers.
  • Willingness to undertake training in first aid and other relevant areas.
