About the role:

The Regional Adversity Care Clinician (RAC) plays a key role in implementing the Tackling Regional Adversity through Connected Communities (TRACC) program. TRACC is an early intervention and outreach program that supports individuals and communities across regional, rural, and remote Queensland to better manage responses to adversity associated with drought, disaster, and other crises and aim to reduce stigma and other barriers to accessing mental health treatment, care, and support and to enhance the natural resilience of individuals, and communities in the face of adversity.

The RAC strengthens community mental health capacity through a combination of clinical outreach, service coordination, mental health literacy promotion, frontline worker education, and community resilience initiatives. By providing clinical mental health services through a model of care co-ordination, individuals will be assisted to access a range of service providers and sectors as well as supporting the capacity of the service system to respond to the mental health needs of people in the community.
