Bentley Park College are seeking a Head of Department - Student Services to join our dynamic team working with a Year 10 support focus and carriage of VET and Career Pathways as part of the portfolio. This is a temporary full-time position until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined. As Head of Department - Student Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborate closely with families and external agencies, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and departmental policies.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead targeted improvement initiatives: Drive innovative strategies to improve student learning outcomes and attendance, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring equitable and high-quality outcomes for all.
- Monitor performance and implement interventions: Track student achievement, attendance, and behaviour data; develop and implement timely, evidence-based intervention and engagement strategies, including induction processes for new arrivals.
- Strengthen collaboration and community engagement: Work closely with parents, staff, leadership teams, higher education institutions, state schooling divisions, and external agencies to enhance student achievement, wellbeing, and attendance.
- Promote inclusive and socially just practices: Support the holistic academic, social, and emotional needs of students—particularly new arrivals—while embedding equity-focused approaches into daily school life.
- Ensure strategic and compliant operations: Understand and apply relevant legislation and policies, prepare required data reports, and effectively manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
