Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
By joining the Disaster Recovery Team you will be an imprortant aspect of providing culturally supportive guidance and engagement to assist communities and individuals within Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Servic (TCHHS) to recover in the event of disaster.
- Work with minimal supervision
- Engage with community organisations and networks
- Assist with producing and providing education and training programs
As an Indigenous Health Worker, your advocacy for local Torres and Cape patients is vital in ensuring culturally sensitive and effective health care.

- Base salary comprising between $2,964.50 - $4,076.70 per fortnight – you may be eligible for additional benefits – refer to Workplace benefits | Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service
