Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse in Ward 7A, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the delivery of specialist Infectious Diseases and Endocrinology care, practising autonomously while supporting a high-performing multidisciplinary team by:
- Delivering comprehensive, person-centred care to patients with complex infectious diseases, multi-resistant organisms and endocrinology conditions
- Leading clinical decision-making, assessment, care planning and evaluation of complex cases
- Coordinating team shifts and supporting safe, effective workforce utilisation
- Providing clinical supervision, delegation and mentorship to nursing staff and students
- Contributing to quality improvement, risk management, audits and research activities
- Acting in the Nurse Unit Manager role when required and supporting portfolio responsibilities across clinical practice, education and safety standards
About you:
You are an experienced and confident Registered Nurse with advanced clinical capability in specialist medical nursing, ready to provide leadership and drive high-quality patient outcomes with:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in Infectious Diseases and/or Endocrinology nursing practice
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and complex care planning skills
- Proven ability to lead, delegate and support multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in quality improvement, audits and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to person-centred care
