About our team:
The Student Wellbeing Workforce aims to ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school. The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Workforce program work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
This is a school-based position and travel may be a required element of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively with school based teams to support student wellbeing through both individual, group and whole school wellbeing programs;
- Maintaining a data base of intervention supports
- Providing professional development opportunities for teachers and parents around mental health interventions and supports;
- Follow your professional code of ethics to maintain privacy and confidentiality of student information.

Progressional Role
