About the role
This role offers a rare chance to develop in-depth CKD skills, deliver a new and growing outpatient service, and work closely with a dedicated nephrology team across multiple Metro North Health locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP wanting to expand their clinical scope, contribute to service innovation, and participate in high‑value, patient‑centred kidney care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Refer care of other medical conditions to the patients' general practitioner or, if emergent, to the nearest emergency medicine service in line with work practices in the clinics of the MN KHS.
- Deliver kidney care to both new and review CKD patients.
- Practice high standards of professional behaviour and act with courtesy, empathy and respect towards patients, their families, professional colleagues and other staff of MN HHS.
- Maintain data quality and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
